SITUATION VACANT

Applications are invited by Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Lahore, for the appointment/engagement of retired supervisory staff of the Civil Engineering Department & Signal Department on a contract basis for a period of one year. Suitable candidates who have retired on superannuation, i.e., at 60 years, are invited to apply for the following posts, subject to meeting physical fitness requirements.

AGE LIMIT:

• The maximum age limit shall be 62 years.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CONTRACT APPOINTMENT:

1. Only candidates who have worked in the above categories will be eligible for contract appointment.


2. Selected candidates will draw their salary in BS-16 & BS-11 according to their last pay drawn, along with usual allowances admissible under the contract appointment rules. However, they will not be entitled to any gratuity or pension.


3. The competent authority has the right to reject any application for contract appointment without assigning any reason.


4. The number of posts can be changed without assigning any reason.


5. Selected candidates will be required to pass a medical fitness examination from Pakistan Railways Hospital only.


6. Those who were compulsorily removed, dismissed, or retired on medical grounds will not be eligible for appointment.


7. Call letters will only be issued to candidates eligible for contract appointments.


8. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for an interview and medical examination.


9. The selected persons will be posted anywhere in the entire Railway System.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: Application must be accompanied by the attested copies of the following necessary certificates and testimonials.

• All educational certificates


• National Identity Card (Computerized)


• Railway retired Identity Card


• Photocopy of PPO


• Photocopy of LPC


• Service Certificate & Experience Certificate


• Three (03) fresh passport size photographs


• Three (03) postal envelopes (with RAD card) with complete addresses. Cell No. should be written thereon and also be sent (linked) with the application.
