We seek a builder, not a maintainer, to serve as the University's founding finance leader.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Qualification
Essential:
-
A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA, or CPA); OR Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (Finance), or a related field.

Degree(s) must be from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
Preferred:
-
Professional accountancy qualification; certifications in public financial management, procurement, or IT/systems are an asset.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and implement the financial management system from scratch: chart of accounts, policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
-
Lead the finance and procurement modules of the University ERP and build a digital-first, paperless finance function.

Lead budgeting, planning, treasury, and endowment management; ensure timely reporting, compliance, audit, and risk management.

Oversee procurement and build a high-performing finance team.
Experience
-
Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounting, preferably five or more years as CFO, Director Finance, or Head of Finance.

Proven record of setting up financial systems and controls for a new or growing organization, including ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
-
Strong command of IFRS/IPSAS, taxation, audit, and PPRA rules.

Experience in higher education, trusts, not-for-profits, or the public sector highly preferred.
