In the Department of Law & Justice, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, 03 vacancies of Civil Judge / Magistrate First Class (BPS-17) and 106 vacancies of Tehsil Qazi (BPS-17) are available. Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates (male and female) who are residents of the State of Jammu & Kashmir, for appointment on a purely ad-hoc basis, to be selected on open merit.

Educational Qualification:

• i) Shahadat-ul-Aalmiyya fil-Uloomil Arabia Wal-Islamia; OR

• ii) Ashahadat-ul-Fazeela Sanad awarded by Wafaq-ul-Madaris; OR

• i) Ashahdat-ul-Faragh Sanad awarded by Tanzeem-ul-Madaris; OR Ashahatd-ul-Aalia Sanad awarded by Wafaq-ul-Madaris-ul-Salfia (Ahl-i-Hadis); OR Sultan-ul-Afazil Sanad awarded by Wafaq-ul-Madaris Shia after Dora-e-Hadis; provided that such Sanad holders have qualified in two additional subjects other than Arabic and Islamic Studies at BA Level and have also qualified in elective subjects other than Pakistan Studies and Islamic Studies papers at BA level from a recognized university. Preference shall be given to those having an LLB degree in addition to the above qualification; OR

• (iii) Graduate in Sharia and Law from any recognized University.

PROCEDURE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS:

1. Only candidates possessing the prescribed qualifications and eligibility may apply. Relaxation in the upper age limit shall be considered only under the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Civil Servants (Relaxation of Age Limit) Act, 1997.

2. The last date for receipt of applications is 02 November 2026. Applicants may submit their applications by the said date.

3. Candidates must necessarily mention their correct mobile number / WhatsApp number and Email in their application for correspondence.

4. In the application, candidates must clearly and explicitly state their name, father's name, date of birth, educational qualification, experience, address, contact number, etc. Attach one recent photograph with the application. In the case of CGPA, attach a Conversion Certificate / equivalence of marks.

5. No TA/DA will be given to candidates for appearing in the test and interview.

6. Appointment of a successful candidate shall be subject to a complete medical examination, character certificate, and having no criminal record of any kind.

7. Candidates should send their applications by post addressed to the Registrar, High Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, or submit them in person at the High Court Headquarters, Muzaffarabad.
